You’ve heard the saying about fitting square pegs in round holes? It can be very apt when it comes to choosing images for our Photo Front covers, especially the 1/4 Photo Front, as this screen shot from PJ Remix indicates – only a slice from the image will fit on the cover. Although I’ve used Photojunction to illustrate the problem, it solves the problem as well. In Photojunction simply drag the image you want to use on to the cover layout, as in the screen shot. Some of you have noticed that our recently discontinued cover materials have disappeared from PJ Remix, and asked what's going on. Fair enough too. We haven't been as clear about it as we should, and we apologise for not explaining this earlier. Why not design your albums in Photoshop or InDesign? A lot of people do, and they're great applications – we depend on them both ourselves. We know the feeling – you know there must be a way to do something, but you just can't figure it out.    Here's an example: there's no standard "title" aperture in PJ Remix, so how do you add a title? There are actually two ways to do it. The easier way (but maybe also easier to get wrong) is simply this: Add a blank aperture to the layout using the Add button (left image, above) Change the aperture to Customise (right image, above) Uncheck the Constrain Proportions box and enter the values directly. We reckon it's time to upgrade to PJ Remix. The guys at Team PJ haven't gone final yet, but they must be getting close. Talia from our design department loves it: "Yay for Remix! I've been doing a heap of digital album exports lately and I use a lot of non standard sizes in digital albums. We owe a big thank you to all the people who completed our survey recently. We had a great response, and we thought you'd like to know the outcome. There were two major surprises, as you'll see. 1.
